About Jadyn Reddy

I’m a cat mom, fiancé, professional dancer that has toured the word, Barre/Pilates instructor, and owner of ReddyFit, LLC. But beyond that, I am a kind and self-driven individual with a tremendous passion for fitness, health, and wellness.

I will break down my story on how I went from dancer to employee to now 26-year-old business owner.

As long as I can remember, I have lived and breathed dance. Dance became my identity at a very young age, and I knew it would be my career. While dancing in college at the University Of Arizona, my main priority was having the perfect ballet body so that I would get casted in shows and book jobs. This path towards perfectionism made me lose sight of who I was, who I wanted to be, and it was a toxic, negative downward spiral. I didn’t actually realize I had an eating disorder until halfway through my sophomore year of college, and I fought this reality for a very long time.

That entire process was a pivotal moment in my life, and for years after, I struggled with body image. It affected my relationships with friends, significant others, food, and myself. That was when I realized that you couldn’t have a healthy relationship with working out if you don’t have a healthy relationship with yourself. I realized that it’s okay to ask for help and that perfection will never be attainable because we are only human.

So you may be wondering, how did this experience inspire me to start my own virtual fitness studio?

In 2016, I had the brand name ReddyFit in my head but knew that dance came first, so I didn’t want to push forward with the idea, nor did I have a clear idea of what I wanted it to be at the time. Initially, it was my own personal blog that I created where I posted about the food I was nourishing my body with post eating disorder and a celiac disease diagnosis. It was a way for me to keep myself accountable for fueling my body and getting a better grasp on nutrition. I did it for a while until my professional dance career took off. From 2018-2020, I toured throughout Europe with SweetBird Productions shows of Rock The Ballet X and Romeo & Juliet. Then, COVID-19 hit.

I got sent home from tour, jobless, and not knowing when I would ever get the chance to dance again. After a few weeks of doing absolutely nothing, I realized that I needed to do something since rent wasn’t just going to pay for itself. I confidently knew that I didn’t want to work in any field that didn’t involve fitness, health, and wellness. I also knew that being an employee and teaching dance, barre, and pilates full-time wouldn’t fulfill me either.

So, I decided to take a leap of faith and start a fitness brand that focuses both on the mental and physical aspects of working out.
